Yapı Kredi has secured US$ 80 million for the earthquake region
Our bank signed a financing agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) amounting to US$ 80 million to support the earthquake region. This resource will be used for the rapid development of provinces affected by the earthquake.
In the first half of the year, in addition to the first social syndicated loan of $580 million signed for the use of foreign trade financing for its customers in the provinces affected by the earthquake disaster, Yapı Kredi established Customer Contact Center teams in Hatay, Adıyaman and Kahramanmaraş. Continuing its support inline with the needs for the disaster area, Yapı Kredi also launched the "Snowball for the Future" project, which is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of our Republic, with our children in the earthquake region.
The US$ 80 million funding will be used to develop the earthquake region centered in Kahramanmaraş and accelerate the return of life to the normal in the region.
As Yapı Kredi, we will continue to work with all our strength in order to ensure sustainable development in the earthquake region.
