Yapı Kredi has been sustainably strengthening its market positioning in the sector since its establishment in 1944 through a customer-centric approach and focus on innovation. Yapı Kredi is the 3rd largest private bank in Turkey with total assets worth TL 1.1 trillion as of the end of the first nine months of 2022. Constantly seeking to increase its contribution to the financing of the Turkish economy with its customer-centric approach, Yapı Kredi enlarged the volume of its total cash and non-cash loans by 70% y-o-y in the first nine months of 2022 to TL 791 billion. Yapı Kredi has a strong shareholding structure which ensures sustainable and profitable growth. Yapı Kredi's 27.02% of the shares are directly owned by Koç Holding A.Ş. and 40.95% of the Bank's shares are owned by Koç Financial Services, which is 100% owned by Koç Group. Accordingly, the total direct and indirect shares of Koç Group stand at 67.99%. The remaining 32.03% is publicly traded on Borsa Istanbul.
The Bank serves its customers with its 802 branches covering all regions of Turkey and ~15.7k employees. Yapı Kredi delivers its products and services via its advanced Limitless Banking Channels that comprise 4,674 ATMs, innovative internet banking, leading mobile banking, call center services and more than 1.0 million POS terminals. 98% of the Bank's transactions* went through non-branch channels as of the nine months of 2022. Yapı Kredi is a fully integrated financial services group supported by its domestic and international subsidiaries.
Yapı Kredi serves its customers through retail banking (comprising of Payment Systems, Individual Banking, Business Banking, Private Banking and Wealth Management), Commercial and SME Banking, as well as Corporate Banking. The Bank's operations are supported by domestic subsidiaries in asset management, brokerage, leasing and factoring as well as international banking subsidiaries in the Netherlands and Azerbaijan.
Yapı Kredi maintains leading positions in value generating services and products. In card payment systems, Yapı Kredi has achieved 17.1% market share of credit card outstanding volume as of the nine months of 2022.
