Purchase of shares
Today, Koçbank, our major shareholder, made an announcement stating that they agreed with Credit Suisse Holdings (Nederland) BV to purchase 54,759,643 trading shares of Yapı Kredi for a consideration of YTL 445,532,023 off market and that the share and money transfer (settlement) shall take place on 6 April 2006 Thursday. As a result of acquisition of these shares, Koçbank's direct and indirect shareholding in Yapı Kredi shall increase from 58.22% to 65.50%.
