Fintur Holding
As was previously announced on February 28, 2002; in context of Cukurova Group's restructuring its investments in telecommunications and technology sectors, a letter of intent was signed on February 28,2002 to transfer our Bank's shares in Fintur Holding B.V. (with total share capital of 540 million Euro) of 75,090,128 Euro nominal value (13.91%) to Sonera Holding B.V. and Turkcell Iletisim A.S. Within this context, a share purchase agreement was signed on May 10, 2002 and was announced on the same date.
Following the necessary regulatory approvals and legal procedures; the transfer of shares has been realized on August 21, 2002 and the proceeds of $65,070,000 has been received in cash on the same date.
