Establishment of Yapı Kredi Malta
Yapı ve Kredi Bankası A.Ş. (YKB) will establish a new banking subsidiary in the Republic of Malta under the name of “Yapı Kredi Malta”. Yapı Kredi Malta will be controlled by Yapı Kredi Holding BV whose share capital is fully owned by YKB.
Preliminary approval for establishment of Yapı Kredi Malta was granted by the Regulatory Authority of Malta following necessary permission by the Bank Regulatory and Supervisory Authority of Turkey.
As a part of this process, Yapı Kredi Malta will start operating with a share capital of EUR 60 million. In order to fulfil this capital requirement, the share capital of Yapı Kredi Holding BV will be increased by YKB to EUR 102 million from EUR 59 million.
