Dual Tranche Multi-Currency Term Loan Facility
Yapı Kredi Obtained US$ 285 million and € 687 million Syndicated Dual Tranche Multi-Currency Term Loan Facility
On 29 September 2011, Yapı Kredi successfully signed a 1 year Dual Tranche Multi-Currency Term Loan Facility comprised of a US Dollar tranche of US$ 285 million and a Euro tranche of € 687 million, as a replacement of last year's existing syndication loan that was signed in September 2010. The club loan facility is raised by a syndicate of 42 of Yapı Kredi’s key relationship banks representing 18 countries. The all-in cost was realised at Libor/Euribor plus 1.0% per annum in September 2011. The proceeds of the loan will be used by the Bank to pre-finance customer exports and export contracts.
Despite worsening global macroeconomic conditions, Yapı Kredi successfully refinanced its existing syndication loan with a 100% roll over ratio.
UniCredit Bank Austria AG acted as Coordinating Bank and Documentation Agent while WestLB AG, London Branch acts as Facility Agent for the Facility.
