At Yapi Kredi loans and deposits are growing rapidly
Yapi Kredi's total assets have grown 6% since June 2004, totaling 24.6 quadrillion TL. Our total deposits, totaling 14.6 quadrillion TL, increased by 5% in the third quarter of this year. In this period, foreign currency deposit accounts in dollars increased by 10%. This increase, experienced at a time when the scope of savings deposit insurance has been reduced, is an indication not only of the confidence and favor our bank enjoys with the Turkish people but also of the superior service approach we have implemented. As of the end of September our loans totaled 9.8 quadrillion TL. Non-cash loans, an area in which we lead the sector, increased 9.5% in the third quarter, exceeding 9 quadrillion TL. In the first 9 months of 2004, Yapi Kredi maintained its leadership position in the credit card market both in terms of the number of cards and expenditures. Our equity capital grew by 8% when compared with June reaching 4.2 quadrillion. Our capital adequacy ratio is now 17.8% Net profit for the first 9 months of the year 2004 amounted to 8.5 trillion TL.
